Walt Disney World has 4 Theme Parks and 2 Water Parks. Each park has theming that will immerse you into a magical world! Once you book a Disney package with me, I will provide you detailed information on each park that will help you make the perfect Disney must-do list for you and your family!
Walk down Main Street USA toward Cinderella Castle, take a ride on the Transit Authority’s People Mover, enjoy the wildest ride in the wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain, glide your way through the Haunted Mansion. Don’t forget to keep your eyes and ears open! You don’t know who you’ll see in the next Character Cavalcade or mid-day parade! Plus enjoy the newest firework spectacular, Enchanted!
Being greeted by Spaceship Earth, will you head toward the Land and ride Soarin’ or The Seas and enjoy a journey with Nemo & Friends? Or perhaps you want to dive into other cultures, then a walk around the World Showcase is perfect for you! Don’t forget to take a ride on Frozen Ever After or the newest ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! Later that night hang around and enjoy EPCOT’s newest firework show, Harmonious, featuring water, projections, and fireworks!
You enter on Hollywood Boulevard, walking toward the Chinese Theatre that features Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Will you head toward Sunset Boulevard and ‘drop in’ on The Tower of Terror or maybe you want to take a fast paced limo ride with Aerosmith on Rockin’ Rollercoaster! Wanna slow things down? Head into Toy Story Land for Alien Swirling Saucers. Will you join the rebels or the first order in Galaxy’s Edge? From kiddos to adults, this park has it all!
As soon as you enter this park, the rhythm of the drums make you feel like there is adventure around every turn! Enjoy views of the gorgeous Tree of Life! Head toward Africa to go on a Safari! Enjoy a larger than life It’s A Bug’s Life interactive show! Come face to face with a Yeti on Expedition Everest! Pay close attention to the waters, you never know who will be floating by on a boat! Don’t forget to catch Animal Kingdom’s newest show, Kite Tails!
Enjoy thrilling attractions at this ‘melting ski resort’! From Tike’s Peak to Runoff Rapids, this water park has something for all ages! Take a plunge down Summit Plummet, one of the world’s fastest free-falling body slides in the world! Enjoy a race down an 8-lane waterslide on Taboggan Racers! Maybe you wanna just chill on your on private Polar Patio, a shaded deck.
A tropical themed water park with water slides and North America’s largest wave pool! Book a private surfing lesson, take a ride on Crush N Gusher (a coaster-like raft ride), or plummet down an enclosed body slide! Your little ones will enjoy pint-sized slides and water activities at Ketchakiddee Creek!
When you book a Disney Vacation Package including hotel and tickets, you can choose what type of tickets you would like. Your package will include base park tickets that will allow you to enter one Theme Park per day but you can upgrade your tickets so you can experience more of the magic each day! Upgrade options are below:
When staying in a Walt Disney Resort Hotel you have access to complimentary transportation to the parks and Disney Springs.
Disney Themed busses run from every resort to all 4 Theme Parks, 2 Water Parks, and Disney Springs! Disney Bus departure and arrival times are available at your resort as well as in your My Disney Experience app.
Disney’s newest transportation options, The Disney Skyliner! Fly above Disney property on your way from select resorts to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
This is the fastest transportation option! Enjoy a ride on the Monorail from select resorts to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Disney’s Water Travel is a boat ride that transports you around Disney World. These boats are called different things at different locations. You will find Friendship Boats that will transport you to/from Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and select resorts. Ferryboats will take you to Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Tickets Center. Riverboats can transport you to/from Disney Springs and select resorts.
You can also pay to have a Lift or Minnie Van pick you up and take you anywhere on Disney property. *This is an additional cost to you, not complimentary!
If you have your vehicle or a rental car on property you can drive to the parks and Disney Springs. Remember you must pay parking at the parks and a nightly parking fee at resorts.
Disney’s Resort Hotels are divided into categories: Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villas. The categories are arranged by pricing, Value being the lowest priced per night and Deluxe + Deluxe Villas being the highest. Rather you’re staying in a Value or Deluxe resort you still have access to Disney’s complimentary transportation services, although transportation type varies by resort. Staying on property has its perks, such as the ability to reserve dining before your trip and booking lightning lane times for select rides at 7 a.m. on your park day! You also are immersed into the magic of Disney your entire trip when you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, I call that The Disney Bubble!
Disney fans have their own language. Here are a few definitions that will help you when deciding what your Disney Trip will look like!
My Disney Experience - this app is your dashboard for your Disney trip; you will find your park tickets loaded into the app, your room key, as well as the ability to book dining and lightning lane times.
Lightning Lane - this is Disney’s new Fastpass lane. You have the option to purchase lightning lane passes for select rides. Through the Lightning Lane you bypass the line for certain rides. No more standing line? I can explain how all this works once we book your trip and start planning your itinerary!
Genie and Genie+ - This is Disney’s newest add-on to My Disney Experience App - Genie will allow you to view ride wait times, show times, dining availability, and mobile order. Genie+ is an additional fee and gives you access to the Lightning Lanes.
Mobile Order - use the My Disney Experience app to order your food at Quick Service Dining locations.
Quick Service Dining - (or counter service) this is a type of restaurant in Disney where you go to the counter, order your food, they give it to you at the counter, then you seat yourself, eat, then leave. This is a ‘fastfood-like’ dining experience.
Table Service - sit down dining experience. Table Service restaurants require a reservation. When you arrive the hostess will seat you and you will have your own personal waiter/waitress. These dining experiences can be buffet-style, family style, or menu style. Character dining is Table Service.
Character Dining - a table service restaurant that allows you to dine while Disney Characters make their way around the tables.
Virtual Queues - join the line for a high demand ride on your phone and you will receive a notification when its your time to ride. This option is only available for select rides.
Park Hopper - being able to enter more than one park per day
Memory Maker - for a fee you can have access to all photos taken in the parks, including ride photos and photos taken by cast members of you and your family. With this add-on you can download all the photos you want to be able to share with family and friends.
Character Cavalcades - mini ‘parades’ in the parks featuring Disney Characters
Extra Magic Hours - a select time when guests staying on property can enter select parks before other guests
Rope Drop - park opening
Kiss Goodnight - the finale in Magic Kingdom at park close
Magic Bands - you can purchase these to wear and they are your tickets, room key, memory maker, and more! The new Magic Bands also offer interactive options such as vibration and lighting up with firework shows!
Lands - different sections of a park. Each park is divided into lands. Each land has its own theming!
Passholder - someone who has an annual pass for Disney
